De Lacey Fine Art
History:
Albert Dock

The
beginnings of the Gallery:
De Lacey Fine Art
chose the prestigious Albert Dock complex in Liverpool as its Location
when it originally opened for business in 2001. The Albert Dock was one
of the main Tourist Attractions in Liverpool and holds host to Tate
Liverpool, The Maritime Museum and The Beatles Museum.
Whilst Liverpool
is a City on the move with a selection of some of the best Public Art
Galleries in the country as well winning the
prestigious European City of Culture Award 2008, it's lack of
Commercial Art Galleries was worrying and this lack had been highlighted
in National Art Magazines. Eighteen months after De Lacey Fine Art
arrived in Liverpool those worries were abated with a few local
galleries cropping up selling lower quality paintings.
De Lacey Fine Art
has now closed the doors to it's Liverpool gallery and begins the search
for it's next location. With the addition of
London premises now organised this proves to be a very exciting time for
De Lacey Fine Art.
