Fred Cuming R.A. British (1930 - Present)
Fred Cuming was born in London in 1930 and studied at Sidcup school of art from 1945 to 1949. He then went on to the Royal College of Art were he studied for a further 5 years. Fred Cuming is one of the youngest artists ever to be made Royal Academician, he was 39 at the time, since then he has seen his work grow in popularity and stature indeed his work is now in public collections all around the world in such places as Monte Carlo, Texas and Singapore. Fred Cuming creates landscape paintings which can't help but leave the viewer with a kind of peaceful appreciation that only comes from being in the presence of brilliance. His use of Blues and greens to subtle but great effect are the trademark of his work, his paintings are instantly recognisable and difficult to forget, they are true masterpieces of the modern era.
